Steve James: Renaissance feat. Clairity

From humble beginnings in the small town of Johnstown Pennsylvania, Stephen Philibin aka Steve James is heading into 2016 with a head of steam, having charted at #1 on Hype Machine 5x all by the age of 17. The budding DJ/producer spent this past summer in the studio working on his artist project, which was highlighted by a co-writing/production credit on the title track of Justin Bieber’s return album, “Purpose”. Classically trained on the piano, and with a finely tuned ear for unique productions, Steve now resides in Los Angeles pursuing his young artist career. Catch him on the road this fall supporting The Chainsmokers on their “Friendzone Tour”.

Claire Wilkinson, or Clairity is a singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee and also probably an extra terrestrial. Admittedly, she isn’t very good at writing Facebook bios, but she is excellent at referring to herself in 3rd person.

Steve James: Renaissance feat. Clairity Lyrics:
You left me in the worst way
Heart torn, leaving bloodstains
All over the tablecloth
And I can never scrub them off
But I won’t let you haunt me
All the scars on my body
They won’t keep me far from love
You won’t see me fall apart

‘Cause I turned so cold
and I thought I’d never make it
I could feel my pulses fighting

Shed a tear for the love we’ve lost,
Gotta look for a brand new start
Now you got me dreaming of a renaissance

You left me in the worst way
On the floor, screaming your name
But I’m sick of always saying no
Knowing everything I’ve fought
The time we had, was folding but I look back
Wishing that I could have known
It’d be easier to let you go

‘Cause I turned so cold
and I thought I’d never make it
I could feel my pulses fighting
Shed a tear for the love we’ve lost,
Gotta look for a brand new start
You got me dreaming of a Renaissance

All the scars on my body
All the scars on my body
All the scars on my body
All the scars on my body

Shed a tear for the love we’ve lost,
Gotta look for a brand new start
You got me dreaming of a Renaissance.
