Hobart W Fink is gutsy, bluesy indie rock w an soupçon of grunge. With two lead singers, Jayk Gallagher and Lauren Lakis, the band blends touches of The Strokes, Interpol, and Queens of The Stoneage, with such disparate influences as Elliott Smith, Nirvana, and Ben Gibbard in an eclectic stew. Fans have likened HWF’s sound to a combination of The X, The B-52’s, and Sonic Youth. The sound is characterized by layered vocal harmonies that emerge from gutsy garage rock with a disaffected yet earnest punk aesthetic. (Noe Santiago on Bass, AJ Brown on Drums.)

The video celebrates the beauty and wonder of release, vacation, and going with the flow. Revelers dance wildly in New Orleans as alpacas cuddle at the base of Machu Picchu. Babies take a guitar solo as Jayk Gallagher intones lyrics in front of the sweeping vistas of Colca Canyon. The video features both former co-lead singer Marie Bollinger and current co-lead singer Lauren Lakis in a panoply of sensuous goodness that will leave every viewer with the persistent itch to skip town on a reckless excursion.
