An evocative North London alt-rock outfit led by vocalist Ellie Roswell, Wolf Alice deftly mixes folk, grunge, and electronic elements with vintage ’90s indie rock. Formed in 2010 by Roswell and guitarist Joff Oddie, the duo issued an eponymous EP independently before expanding into a four-piece in 2012 with the addition of drummer Joel Amey and bassist Theo Ellis. The newly minted quartet released a flurry of singles before putting out a proper debut EP, Blush, in 2013. The EP garnered positive reviews, with some critics comparing the group to Elastica, Garbage, the Duke Spirit, and Hole.

Wolf Alice – You’re a Germ Lyrics:
George rides a bike, to pick her up from school
He likes her cause she’s pure
She likes him cause she heard he’s cool
George rides a bike, to pick her up from school
He likes her cause she’s pure
She likes him cause she heard he’s cool
You’re a germ, twist my own sights
You’re a germ, we hear the fight
This is not exploring, When you are dead inside
What were you before him? I dwell, i dwell
Makes me Scream, twist my own sights
Makes me scream
We hear the one! two! three! four! five! six! seven!
You ain’t going to Heaven (I dwell, I dwell)
Don’t think you’re going to hell (I dwell, I dwell)
With Mom and Dad you can tell them (I dwell, I dwell)
You’re a guilty fucker as well (I dwell, I dwell)
George takes her to the mic
Plays the same songs every year
His leather looks pretty cheap
And the clock gives somehow fear
You’re a creep, twist my own sights
You’re a Creep
We hear the one! two! three! four! five! six! seven!
You ain’t going to Heaven (I dwell, I dwell)
Don’t think you’re going to hell (I dwell, I dwell)
With Mom and Dad you can tell them (I dwell, I dwell)
You’re a guilty fucker as well (I dwell, I dwell)
You ain’t going to Heaven (I dwell, I dwell)
Don’t think you’re going to hell (I dwell, I dwell)
With Mom and Dad you can tell them (I dwell, I dwell)
Tell them you’re a guilty fucker as well! Yes you Are!
