Nobody Cares is quite the opposite statement to apply when it comes to Sweden’s hottest new export Léon. Pretty much the whole world and their dog went a bit cray for her first track Tired Of Talking, and this new one will have everyone totally sold on her. Just like the last track, there’s a killer hook, an infectious chorus, and a total star-making performance.
Sweden has a knack for blessing us with modern pop singers who use their vocals to coast on spotless production and sticky melodies. The latest in that fine tradition is Léon, a 21-year-old singer and songwriter who Katy Perry just cosigned by tweeting the singer’s first single, “Tired of Talking” and calling her “one to watch.” The song was produced and written with Agrin Rahmani, a Swedish producer who LÉON met after fronting her own hip-hop and soul band while she was a teenager. The two have loads have new material that will find its way on a full-length debut sometime in the near future. In the meantime, put “Nobody Cares” on repeat. We sure are. [via NYLON]
Léon: Nobody Cares
Léon: Nobody Cares Lyrics:
White lights once again
One more try to make you go away
Make you fade, Late nights, more mistakes
My mind is so, so tired, But I’m wide awake
I get lost, I get drunk too many times
I don’t know that good on basic turn into dark
White lights once again, Once again, once again
Oh oh, nobody cares about us
Oh oh, guess you can know that I still do
Oh oh, nobody cares about us
Oh oh, guess you can, guess you can know that I still do
Can’t stop, can’t go to sleep
I’m still used to have my baby holding me,
Come closer, one last time
And though it doesn’t feel, it’s good
‘Cause you are mine
I get lost, I get drunk too many times
I don’t know that good on basic turn into dark
White lights once again
Once again, once again
Oh oh, nobody cares about us
Oh oh, guess you can know that I still do
Oh oh, nobody cares about us
Oh oh, guess you can, guess you can know that I still do
Now I know that there was nothing left to say,
But all these memories are getting in my way
Your touch is so sick, your words buy everything.
Oh oh, nobody cares about us
Oh oh, guess you can know that I still do
Oh oh, nobody cares about us
Oh oh, guess you can, guess you can know that I still do
