FLASH/LIGHTS – All My Love

All My Love” is FLASH/LIGHTS‘ first single since having to slightly modify/change their name (Is it pronounced “Flash slash Lights” now? haha Try to say that five times fast). Here’s what Ethan had to say about the single (via Impose Magazine):

“All My Love’ is the first FLASH/LIGHTS release since our name change, and is a special collaboration on production between myself and fellow HUG Records artist & producer RUMTUM. Lyrically, the song like many of our others, is about escapism, and the desire to flee when struggling to feel comfortable in a new city. It’s also about the required patience that comes with any big change in life, whether it be a physical move or starting a new relationship. This is by far the most up-beat track we’ve written and there are a few more in this vein coming down the pipeline soon. We sincerely hope you enjoy it.”

Denver’s electro-pop darlings FLASH/LIGHTS have been turning heads ever since their Binary Records debut EP “Hidden Behind Trees” earned them a mention in NME’s Buzzworthy Artists, and was named one of Westword Magazine’s best releases of 2011. Featuring a rotating cast of Denver musicians and fronted by vocalist/producer Ethan Converse, FLASH/LIGHTS is built on a foundation of smooth vocal hooks enveloped by modern synthesized production that is unique for being both understated and impacting at the same time. The group has earned an impressive following thanks to their intoxicatingly fogged-out live show. FLASH/LIGHTS have been fortunate enough to shared the stage with the likes of New Order, Passion Pit, Toro Y Moi, Tycho and Miami Horror, and have been cutting their teeth on the festival circuit with recent performances at SXSW, CMJ, UMS, SnowBall, Treefort, and the Westword Music Showcase. 2012 marked the release of their sophomore EP, So Close To Midnight, to rave reviews. Released via Denver’s HUG Records, SCTM is a brighter, more dance-oriented collection of songs, and boasts remixes from Brothertiger, Slow Magic, and Fabian. The group followed up with the single release of “Scarves” in the fall of 2012, and tease that their next single, “All My Love” will boast a more “tropical sound” when it’s debuted in July, 2013.
