Ella Eyre – Comeback

Despite venturing into songwriting just two years ago, 20 year-old Ella Eyre has already attracted the enthusiastic attention of Professor Green, Disclosure and Rudimental. Initially working with unknown writers in order to sharpen her skills, Ella quickly found herself in Copenhagen with Cutfather (Kylie, Brandy) and Sweden with Ishi and Eric Turner (Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, Cheryl Cole). Bold, edgy and occasionally a bit swear-y, with an incredible vocal to boot, Ella’s buzz grew exponentially. She now counts Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Taio Cruz), Claude Kelly (Bruno Mars, Jessie J), Raphael Saadiq (Joss Stone, John Legend) and Chris Loco (Rita Ora, Emeli Sandé) among her producers and co-writers. Signing to Warner/ Chappell in July 2012 and then Virgin/ EMI shortly after, Ella featured on indie buzz band turned chart-topping Bastille’s cover of TLC’s No Scrubs classic, No Angels, which shot straight to the top of the Hypemachine chart. Shortly after, a casual songwriting session with Rudimental evolved into Ella writing two songs for their debut album, and she can be heard on the foursome’s stadium ready new single, Waiting All Night. After doing spot dates as their lead vocalist in 2012, she recently joined them as support for Plan B’s sold out 2013 UK Arena tour, before heading to Australia and the USA for more dates. It’s no wonder Tinie, Naughty Boy and Pro Green are all clamoring to work with the West London singer and writer who possesses the vocal of a woman twice her age. Not only the owner of a singularly, enigmatic, unique incredible voice that conjures up the greats of yesterday, Ella also has great skill as a writer. “I want my music to be ballsy; I can’t think of anything worse than being wishy-washy, insipid. I want everything I do to be powerful and full of energy.”

Ella Eyre – Comeback

British singer-songwriter Ella Eyre continues working on her highly-awaited debut studio album, still untitled, scheduled to be released later this year via Virgin EMI Records.

Ella Eyre – Comeback Lyrics:
Caught out sleeping around
He says it’s nothing with her lipstick on his mouth
And you might think he doesn’t care that much at all
But they always come back
Yeah, they always come back
Oh, when he returns he puts you in a situation
But it’s too late to have that kind of conversation
It’s not your job to show this boy some education, no
No, ain’t it funny how we never seem to work it out

We’ve all been played, we all get hurt
Just take that pain and let the motherf-cker burn
And you know that in time you will find that
They’ll always come back, yeah they’ll always come back
They’re all the same, they live and learn
Just take that pain and let the motherf-cker burn
And you know that in time you will find that
They’ll always come back, yeah they’ll always come back

Dry your eyes, Mr wise guy
We’ll take a picture, it’s the last that you will see
Let’s see how far this guy gets walking on his own feet
But they’ll always come back
Yeah they’ll always come back, oh

Oh, when he returns he puts you in a situation,
Brought us too late to have that kind of conversation
It’s not your job to show this boy some education, no
No, ain’t it funny how we never seem to work it out

We’ve all been played, we all get hurt
Just take that pain and let the motherf-cker burn
And you know that in time you will find that
They’ll always come back, yeah they’ll always come back

They’re all the same, they never learn,
Just take that pain and let the motherf-cker burn
And you know that in time you will find that
They’ll always come back, yeah they’ll always come back

Wow, yeah. Oh, let it burn. Oh, yeah, oh.

We’ve all been played, we all get hurt
Just take that pain and let the motherf-cker burn
And you know that in time you will find that
They’ll always come back, yeah they’ll always come back

We’ve all been played, we all get hurt
Just take that pain and let the motherf-cker burn
And you know that in time you will find that
They’ll always come back, yeah they’ll always come back

They’re all the same, they never learn,
Just take that pain and let the motherf-cker burn
And you know that in time you will find that
They’ll always come back, yeah they’ll always come back.
