The Korgis – Everybody’s got to learn sometime. “Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime” is a hit single written by James Warren and first performed by the pop band The Korgis, of which Warren was lead singer. The song was released in 1980 from the group’s second album Dumb Waiters. The single reached #5 on the UK Singles Chart and #18 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song topped the singles charts at #1 in France, #1 in Spain, #3 in Netherlands, #3 in Germany, and #18 in Australia. This represented the peak of The Korgis’ music chart success. In 1990, Warren and Davis reformed The Korgis to re-record “Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime” for a charity album in support of the International Hostage Release Foundation.[citation needed] This version of the song was re-released on the compilation CD and DVD Kollection (2005). The Korgis recorded a live, acoustic version of “Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime” in the summer of 2005, that was intended for release on Kollection, but first released in 2006 on Unplugged (The Korgis) CD. The Korgis – Everybody’s got to learn sometime
The Korgis were James Warren on vocals and bass, and Andrew Cresswell-Davies (aka Andy Davis) on guitars and keyboards. The duo first came to the public attention in their native Britain with mid-tempo ballad “If I Had You,” which made UK #13 in April 1979. It quickly transpired that, far from being newcomers to the music scene, the band had in fact been making records with the prog-rock quartet Stackridge between 1968 and 1976. After Stackridge petered out, Warren and Davis had continued to record, and followed up the success of their debut single with this sensitive ballad which became their only US hit. Songfacts®.

Change your heart
Look around you (look around….)
Change your heart
It will astound you
I need your lovin’
Like the sunshine
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
Change your heart.
Look around you (look around…).
Change your heart.
Will astound you (will astound you).
I need your lovin’.
Like the sunshine (will you love me?)
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
I need your lovin’ (your lovin’).
Like the sunshine (will you love me?).
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.

Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
Everybody’s gotta learn sometime.
