Mario Biondi is an Italian singer. Born in Catania, Italy, the son of a popular song singer, during his youth sang in various small choirs. Years after he accompanied Franco Califano, Peppino Di Capri, Fred Bongusto, Rosario Fiorello and others on their Concert tours. After a long series of participations with Italian and international artists, and a small production of disco music, during 2006 he achieved success with the Schema Records album Handful of Soul. His deep and warm voice recalls the great interpreters of soul and rhythm and blues music. In 2007, he released a double disc containing live material, entitled I Love You More LIVE. In 2010 he released a live album Yes You (Live) and followed that in 2011 with a double CD album Due. In 2013, Biondi released a new album SUN and Mario Christmas. On the 5th of May 2015 Mario has published a brand new record: Beyond, featuring songs such as Love is a temple.
Handful of Soul As word of his talent and skill got out, Biondi found himself collaborating with groups like the Change, Mario Brothers, and Funky Company on recordings and tours. Given his powerful and unique voice, it was not long before Biondi was encouraged to pursue a solo career. Featuring material inspired by American R&B artists like Lou Rawls, Luther Vandross, and Donny Hathaway, Biondi’s debut record was released in 2006 on the boutique label Family Affair. Handful of Soul featured the single “This Is What You Are,” which went immediately into heavy rotation throughout Italy and, thanks to British DJ Norman Jay, the U.K. A year later, Biondi performed the song at the Sanremo Festival in Italy, bolstering the record’s popularity and helping to push it into Billboard’s European Top 100 chart. Biondi’s material continued to be popular; his 2009 album If was a big hit in Italy, reaching number two and selling three-times platinum.
Sun During the 2010s, his popularity crested with his first number one album, Sun, released in 2013. Produced by Biondi along with Jean Paul Maunick of Incognito, it featured an array of big-name guests and influences: Leon Ware, Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, and James Taylor. It charted for over a year in Italy, and when a holiday album, Mario Christmas, was released at the end of 2013, it followed Sun to the top of the charts. Biondi’s seventh proper album, Beyond, was issued in 2015.
Mario Biondi: Do You Feel Like I Feel
Mario Biondi: Do You Feel Like I Feel Lyrics:
Hey little sister
Have you hear the news today?
We gonna shape the world our way
Hey little darling
Have you seen the skies aint gray
Our love has cleared the clouds away
Stop look and listen to your heart
Do you feel like I feel
I wanna make the curch bells sing
Do you feel like I feel
I wanna let our freedom ring
Oh baby
Do you feel like I feel
I wanna give you everything
Do you feel like I feel
I wanna let our freedom ring
Stop look and listen to your heart
Sweet little sister
Let’s get together with our souls
And let’s move on to higher goals
Hey little darling
I see the flowers in your eyes
So innocent and wise
Stop look and listen to my heart
Do you feel like I feel.
I wanna make the curch bells sing.
Do you feel like I feel.
I wanna let our freedom ring.
Do you feel. Do you feel.
Do you feel. Do you feel like I feel.
I wanna give you everything.
Baby, Do you feel like I feel.
And I wanna let our freedom ring.
Stop look and listen to your heart.
Do you feel like I feel
