Lorine Chia – Let Me Fly. The 21-year-old Cameroonian-born, Los Angeles-based singer/ rapper/ songwriter Lorine Chia refused to be defined by one style. Lorine’s deep, hearty vocals and intriguing concepts are what fuel her forthcoming eclectic EP, Sweet Noise. The first single, “Let Me Fly,” is a breezy journey over trumpets and drums. It’s light and inviting, yet has just enough substance to stick with you long after the track has ended. It’s modern superhero music. Check out “Let Me Fly” below and follow @LorineChia on Twitter. She’s still flying high. With a nostalgic and smokey voice like no other, we’ve been long-time fans of Cleveland singer Lorine Chia. With her amazing Naked Truths project still keeping us humming along, she’s getting the ball rolling for her new EP, Sweet Noise, with “Let Me Fly” (produced by Rami Beatz and co-engineered by Social Experiment member, Nate Fox).
As the bluesy backdrop blends soulful drumming with the heavenly horns of J.P. Floyd, Chia finds freedom in her music belting out “Let me vibe, let me zone, now I’m ’bout to turn off my phone/ Let Me Fly!”. The track is much more than a simple statement, though, as it is more of an expression of a budding star tapping her incomparable potential, realizing the sky is the limit.
