Isadoré is the moniker of singer, songwriter and producer Isabelle Reynaud. A familiar face in Melbournes live music scene, Isabelle decided to venture on an electronic singer-songwriter solo project; Isadoré.
Hailing from Townsville, Isabelle found herself in Melbourne to study at the Victorian College of the Arts – and has stayed ever since.
2017 has proven to be quite different from the rest though, as she gave up the luxury of a permanent residence and opted to travel around Melbourne as a house sitter. This situation has enabled her to pour more time into Isadoré, set up a home-style studio in each location and even better, live with pets!
Isadoré’s influences come from all over the world. Her mother was a contemporary dance
choreographer and from a very young age, she was exposed to many great composers such as René Aubry, Philip Glass, Sergei Prokofiev, Serge Houpin, Michael Nyman and John Adams. These influences shaped how she listened to music, and thus began her journey to perfecting the craft of writing.
“I listen to everything and anything, and I hope that this shows in my music. I love layers, hooks and big sounds.”
‘Strangers’ was the first track to emerge from this exciting new direction, and after locking
herself away to hone her craft, she is now ready with her debut EP ‘Fight or Flight’. The four- track concept will take you deep into your subconscious but also inspire you to dance.
