Tongues was born from demos pieced together during an 8 month round-the-world trip. Bold synths, deep subs and soaring vocoders have drawn comparisons to Hot Chip, Alt-J and fellow Glaswegians Chvrches. Tongues.’ soul aim is to create inspiring, uplifting pop songs combining raw energy with a delicate emotive touch.
Colours In The Dark, was accidentally left public on Soundcloud in January 2015. A few days later the track had amassed almost 10000 plays as the blogosphere helped cause quite a stir for the unassuming artist. Tongues. have been perfecting their live sound supporting touring artist Indiana, headlining Glasgow’s infamous King Tut’s and playing the playing the BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park.
