The Counselor

The Counselor” is an thriller film co-produced and directed by Ridley Scott, from a screenplay by Cormac McCarthy, which is also his first original screenplay to be produced. McCarthy has written at least three other screenplays that are known: Whales and Men, Cities of the Plain (1984), and No Country for Old Men (“began as a screenplay in 1984”). The film stars Michael Fassbender, with Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Penélope Cruz, and Javier Bardem in supporting roles. The Counselor is set to be released in the United States and Canada on October 25, 2013. The film tells the story of a lawyer, played by Fassbender, who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking.
