Singer/Songwriter Sidibe’s I’m Only Dreaming is a dream come true for real music lovers. As Sidibe’s first single of 2016, and my introduction to the LA musician, I’m Only Dreaming not only reels you in, it keeps you there and leaves you wanting more as any good song should. A fusion of sorts, you immediately get the 80’s Prince influence, before being blown away by Sidibe’s voice and the live instruments that separate Dreaming from today’s microwave music fodder.
“You Got the Luck” brings a sound that is reminiscent of our favorite classics, but with a fresh and modern production. Lush harmonies, melodies and lyrics are effortlessly delivered by this five octave vocalist and self-professed romantic. Euphoric is the word that comes to mind.
