Seinabo Sey – Hard Time

Seinabo Sey – Hard Time. Seinabo Sey was born in Södermalm, Stockholm on 7 October 1990, she is of both Swedish and Gambian ancestry. She moved to Halmstad, Sweden at the age of eight, and attended Östergårdsskolans music program for musically gifted teenagers. Sey was inspired musically by artists such as Alicia Keys and Beyoncé early on in life. She grew up in Halmstad, Sweden, surrounded by artistry and creativity, her father Maudo Sey was a renowned musician in The Gambia and Senegal, West Africa. In an interview, Sey recalled being nine years old and watching MTV, leading her to become obsessed with music and singing. Sey had academic aspirations and wanted to study at Yale as an adolescent, being inspired by watching Gilmore Girls, and took academic steps towards that dream, enrolling in a international baccalaureate program in Halmstad, Sweden, although at the age of sixteen she ended up changing course, moving to Stockholm to attend and later graduate from Fryshusets esthetics program with a concentration in soul music.

In an interview Sey noted that “I was really academically tracked… I loved to sing but I could never fathom singing by myself. I tried to push away the whole music dream and thought I had to do something more in line with that, like becoming a lawyer or something, until I was around sixteen. But then I realised I couldn’t really live in that small town so I moved to Stockholm and started music school”,

Seinabo Sey is someone you call an energetic hit storm from Sweden. Her first single Younger was praised by the united musketeers of blogging and also her second single Hard Time is showing some undoubtable moves. The video for Hard Time is celebrating women in all kinds of shapes and charismatic poses – having a hard good time appreciating the female existence, only that the song was produced by Magnus Lidehäll who already charged Seinabo’s Younger and helped Mapei kicking off with Don’t Wait.

Seinabo Sey – Hard Time Lyrics:
Hard time forgiving
Even harder forget
Before you do it son
You might regret a friend!
Hard time forgiving
Even harder forget
Before you do it son
You might regret a friend!

Turn me for granted,
But guard other few in
I’m aware of this
I didn’t let you in
Sing for you to swim,
Dancing on the left
Try to make you stay
I didn’t let you in!
Brought to what became,
Became you & me
Try to mend it but
I can’t bend the truth!
Bricks are caving in
Oh how sweet this end
I left you the beast,
You won’t let me in!

Hard time forgiving
Even harder forget
Before you do it son
You might regret a friend!

Hard time forgiving
Even harder forget
Before you do it son
You might regret a friend!

Left me on the floor
Now I’m at the shore
Here’s change you can’t keep
Sold yourself too cheap!
Thought you got a way
They say it’s today!
You thought hell was hard
Let me show you now!

Hard time forgiving
Even harder forget
Before you do it son
You might regret a friend!

Hard time forgiving
Even harder forget
Before you do it son
You might regret a friend!

This time I will be louder than my words
Walk with lessons that oh, I have learnt
Show the scars I worn
In the light of day
Shadows will be found
I will hunt them down!

Hard time forgiving
Even harder forget
Before you do it son
You might regret a
