A pop-funk tune that oozes Prince and 80’s vibes, it’s seriously groovy, and you can stream it below. U Know I Know reunites the singer with 1, 2, 3, 4 producer Sam Mehran and the result is a tempo-shifting, attitude-laden blast of slinky R&B purrs and coos and rolling sing-song raps, levelled over a cascade of similarly fluctuating tribal-sounding percussion beats.
U Know I Know is a radiant, snappy pop song with a Ryn Weaver meets Charli XCX spunk. Throw in a touch of retro 80′s Madonna and some of that Blood Orange groove, and U Know I Know is a fabulously, infectiously sweet ballad that glistens and shines brilliantly.
