Luckily, the Blackpool-based singer-songwriter is able to deliver more, and as of April 22nd she will indeed have her third EP released into the world. The release of From Above has been prefaced by the music video for its title track, offering another dose of vocals and piano, though with occasional guitar, drums and backing vocals creeping into the piece in places. The track is capable of being a guilty pleasure for some and an outspoken love for many, though there should be no guilt associated with enjoying what Morris has produced. The EP will also feature the follow-up efforts of ‘Wait a While’ and ‘This Time’. Rae’s range has been described as “jaw-dropping” on numerous occasions, and nothing sums it up better than her delivery on From Above. Previous EPs Grow and For You do a similar justice, with the title track of the former is another pensive marriage of Rae’s piano and singing abilities, with an infectious chorus tying the whole song together beautifully. The latter release, meanwhile, offers up ‘Hard to Forget’ and ‘Day One’ in addition to its title track, two sublime pieces that would, hopefully, continue to be featured strongly in Morris’s repertoire after an almost guaranteed debut album release.
