Placebo – Too Many Friends

Too Many Friends” is the first single by alternative rock band Placebo taken from their seventh studio album Loud Like Love. The single was released on 8 July, 2013, as a digital download. A lyric video was created for the song, which showed a clip from the upcoming video. Later after the release of the single, it was released as a limited edition CD and 7″ single in Germany. The song deals with people on the internet and being far more close to friends on the internet, rather than off the computer. It’s also about loneliness, which Molko said was the “modern version of, ‘I’m sitting by the phone, waiting for you to call.'” Wikipedia®.

Placebo – Too Many Friends (Live At RAK Studios)

Placebo – Too Many Friends Lyrics:
My computer thinks I’m gay
I threw that piece of junk
away on the champs-Elysees
as I was walking home.

this is m last communique
down the supper highway all
that I have left to say in
a single tome.

I got too many friends too
many people that I’ll never
meet and I’ll never be there
for I’ll never be there for
cause I’ll never be there.

If I could give it all away
will it come back to me
someday like a needle in the
hay or an expensive stone.

But I got a reson to declaim
the applications are to blame
for all my sorrow an my pain
a feeling so alone.

I got too many friends too
many people that I’ll never
meet and I’ll never be there
for I’ll never be there for
cause I’ll never be there.

My computer thinks I’m gay
What’s the difference anyway
when all that people do all day
is staring to a phone

I got too many friends too
many people that I’ll never
meet and I’ll never be there
for I’ll never be there for
cause I’ll never be there.
