Paperwhite – Magic

Paperwhite, brother sister duo Katie and Ben Marshall, mix retro synth textures with modern pop songwriting. Katie’s voice floats above the surface, while shimmering synth pads drift beneath. Ben, also the drummer for Brooklyn band Savoir Adore, is the producer and drummer. His danceable electronic textures, bring the darker side of synth to light, “inhabiting a space between spectral and cosmic”. Collaborating since they could bang on pots and pans, Paperwhite is a band to look out for in 2014.

Paperwhite – Magic Lyrics:
I can see the mean lights shining outside your window
And as I breathe aaah
You know why the night’s floating away
You gave to me another chance to feel time freeze
Another chance to keep moving
Another chance to feel alive

Where should you go. Where should you go.
Where should you go. To help me floating on.
And you thought I’m in.
A taste of fantasy.

Give me some of your magic
Some of your magic
To keep me hanging
Give me some of your magic
Some of your magic
To keep me hanging

I fell asleep, a moving sky right outside of your window
Your hands all bleed
You know I like remains of the day

Where should you go. Where should you go.
Where should you go. To help me floating on.
And you thought I’m in.
A taste of fantasy.

Give me some of your magic.
Some of your magic. To keep me hanging.
Give me some of your magic
Some of your magic. To keep me hanging.

Give me some of your magic. Give me some of your magic.
Give me some of your magic. Give me some of your magic.

Don’t you love it ’cause we’re side by side
Don’t you want to move together all our lives

Give me some of your magic. Give me some of your magic.
Give me some of your magic. Give me some of your magic.
