The New York native, born Nicole Christine Coote, is the product of a family of musicians. Her mother, a well-renowned cabaret singer, introduced her to music workshops and the excitement a stage could offer. Her father’s musical insight exposed her to some of the greatest musicians of all time and sparked her interest in songwriting at only eight years old. It wasn’t long, before Niqa began spending her afternoons performing her ballads for family members and friends. As a young adult, Niqa’s approach to music has matured. Her smooth and sensual vocals laced with her enthralling lyricism are sure to give you an earfull. Although young, Ms. Niqa Mor is far from foolish. As an artist, she likes to be involved in every aspect of her career. From songwriting, to directing videos, to being involved with the production – Niqa does it all and exceptionally well. “I like to be very hands on with my art. I believe that is what makes my work genuine because you can feel my passion and creativity all throughout my work” says Niqa.
