Nelson Freitas, a singer, writer, producer, and also the owner of his own label “NelsonFreitas Music”. His artistic journey started as a break-dancer, then became the frontman of the infamous group Quatro. After doing three albums with the group, it was time to pursue his own path, which led to his first solo album. With his Cape Verdian roots and passion for Hip-Hop, R&B and House music, Nelson took the challenge to blend all these different styles into one album “Magic”. The album sold over 70,000 copies worldwide which launched the solo career of Nelson Freitas. After touring for 2 years and a full agenda for the upcoming year, Nelson was forced to start working on the road on his second album “My life”, which he released in 2010. With hits such as Rebound Chick, Saia Branka, Nha Primere Amor and selling over 90.000 copies, the critics now realized that Nelson is here to stay. With new creative input and even more experience, the 3rd album “Elevate”, is a fact. The album promises to bring yet another dose of creativity and loads of hit songs. On this album Nelson collaborated with artists and producers of different ethnics like Angola, Cape Verde, Congo, Holland and Morocco to create e fresh new worldly sound. Nelson has already earned his place, but is now ready to elevate. The journey continues.
