Mansa Imani is a talented songwriter, producer and vocalist out of Oakland, California. His new track, “Uncomfortable,” is both driven by ambition and precise in its musicianship. Long bridges meander into talkbox breaks and guitar solos, but the self-indulgence is supported by the singer’s strong voice and instrumentation (he co-produced the track with Kuya). Not to mention, he know his way around a hook.
It’s a big statement, considering it’s the one and only song on his SoundCloud, but he pulls it off, and has us excited to see what kind of unique ideas he comes up with next. With the combination of guitars and 808’s, not to mention the dub-step elements at the end of the song that take the song to another level.
