Madelyn Brené is a Dallas, Texas native who is a classically trained singer and songwriter. Her full length project “In My Feelings” which is set to release in Summer 2017 is an introduction to the singers strong sense of lyricism, arranging and musicianship. Her gift and training enable her to effortlessly reach whistle-tone pitches made famous by artists such as Mariah Carey and the late Minnie Riperton. Listeners cherish her sultry, lower registers reminiscent of the vocal stylings of Sarah Vaughn and Anita Baker.
The single “Warm Up To You” is a new refreshing approach to music that is called classical soul. Madelyn’s distinct sound brings this new genre front and center. The emergence of this sound gives the singer/ songwriter full purpose in her music. “I wanted to write a song and inspire a new genre that merges my favorite elements of music.” The single produced by Erskine Hawkins with vocal production my Britney Holmes was a collective melting pot of vocal vision. As producers they both understood the timbre in my voice and the direction of my music and sound. I wanted to marry the dramatic flair of opera with soul and hip hop inspiration. I was inspired by cinematic themes like the movie Fifth element, the dramatic sound of the orchestra and sultriness of soul. My upcoming project and recordings are all moving in this innovative direction and its both exciting and fulfilling. Warm Up to You is a song that represents the ability to fully trust new beginnings in life. Warming up to and being comfortable to an idea, a person or even an idea after heartache, pain or disappointment is not easy to do. This composition represents the preliminary stage of trust. It fully represents my journey as an artist and a woman to trust myself, my love and my music.”
