Lana Del Rey – Dark Paradise (Parov Stelar Official Remix)

Dark Paradise” is a song by American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, taken from her second studio album, Born to Die (2012). It was written by Del Rey and Rick Nowels, with production handled by the latter and Emile Haynie. The song was released as a single on March 1, 2013 through Interscope Records, serving as the album’s fifth offering in Austria and Germany, and the sixth single in Switzerland. The song received mainly mixed reviews from critics, many criticizing her melodramatic performance, also with the repetition of production and lyrical content. However, many believed the attraction of the criticism proved it as a highlight. Noticeably less successfully than other singles from the album, “Dark Paradise” managed to gain some commercial success in Eastern Europe, becoming a top five hit on Polish airplay.

With his unmistakable sound-mix of Jazz- and Swing samples and electronic music, Parov Stelar has secured his own unique position in the world of music. After his initial record releases, using different aliases as well as his real name, Marcus Füreder founded Etage Noir Recordings in 2003. Since then he has released all music under the moniker Parov Stelar. In 2004 his „KissKiss EP“ and the soon after released album LP „Rough Cuts“ provided his breakthrough in the international electronic music scene. His uncommon approach to music-production combined with an assured sense of sound-aesthetics led to massive respect from his colleagues and the reputation as the pioneer of a new genre (which Rainer Trüby once called „Minimal Jazz House“) The following albums „Seven and Storm“ and „Shine“, as well as numerous singles and remixes made Parov Stelar one of the most reliable and successful artists of his kind. His tracks have been used in numerous TV-ads and soundtracks, while being licensed to more than 600 compilations.

Lana Del Rey – Dark Paradise (Parov Stelar Official Remix) lyrics:
All my friends tell me I should move on
I’m lying in the ocean, singing your song
Ahhh, that’s how you sang it
Loving you forever, can’t be wrong
Even though you’re not here, won’t move on
Ahhh, that’s how we played it

And there’s no remedy for memory of faces
Like a melody, it won’t leave my head
Your soul is haunting me and telling me
That everything is fine
But I wish I was dead

Everytime I close my eyes
It’s like a dark paradise
No one compares to you
I’m scared that you won’t be waiting on the other side
Everytime I close my eyes
It’s like a dark paradise
No one compares to you
I’m scared that you won’t be waiting on the other side

All my friends ask me why I stay strong
Tell ’em when you find true love it lives on
Ahhh, that’s why I stay here

And there’s no remedy for memory of faces
Like a melody, it won’t leave my head
Your soul is haunting me and telling me
That everything is fine
But I wish I was dead

Everytime I close my eyes

It’s like a dark paradise
No one compares to you
I’m scared that you won’t be waiting on the other side
Everytime I close my eyes
It’s like a dark paradise
No one compares to you

But that there’s no you, except in my dreams tonight,
Oh oh oh, ha ha ha
I don’t wanna wake up from this tonight
Oh oh oh, ha ha ha
I don’t wanna wake up from this tonight

There’s no relief, I see you in my sleep
And everybody’s rushing me, but I can feel you touching me
There’s no release, I feel you in my dreams
Telling me I’m fine

Everytime I close my eyes
It’s like a dark paradise
No one compares to you
I’m scared that you won’t be waiting on the other side
Everytime I close my eyes
It’s like a dark paradise
No one compares to you

But that there’s no you, except in my dreams tonight,
Oh oh oh, ha ha ha
I don’t wanna wake up from this tonight
Oh oh oh, ha ha ha
I don’t wanna wake up from this tonight
