Kafka Tamura have been quietly stirring a blog buzz since their debut EP release “Somewhere Else”. The Indie-Pop Trio formed in 2012, when Patrick and Gabriel stumbled upon the Soundcloud musings of Emma. A few emails later, they began to throw vocal files to each other and the first song ideas were born. After racking up over 15 million streams on their Nylon and Noisey-approved debut, Kafka Tamura resurface with a self-assured new single on 100% Records. Now with renowned producer Eliot James (Two Door Cinema Club, Bloc Party) onside, the refined British/German duo push forward with their distinct artistic vision and original brand of minimalist pop on ‘Find Me Well’. Gabriel Häuser’s entrancing tranquil beats and swirling atmosphere surround the familiar tones of Emma Bradshaw’s soulful, contemplative vocals, now with an altogether emboldened sense of purpose.
Taking their name from the protagonist of the surrealist Japanese novel ‘Kafka on the Shore’, they originally formed online as a trio in 2012, when Gabriel and previous member Patrick Bongers stumbled upon the SoundCloud musings of Emma. Following Patrick’s departure and Emma’s relocation to Berlin, the duo leaned towards a more natural and dynamic sound with the aid of Eliot James. Kafka Tamura encourages the listener to immerse themselves in the music and take their own interpretation from the lyrics, however, Emma sheds light on the origins of the track and offers context surrounding the duo’s return…
