K-essence: Dangerous Man

This Katowice-based group was founded by Bartek Czarno-Księżyk, leader of the unforgettable indie rock band NeLL. The atmosphere K-essence create can be compared to that of the masters of the genre, such as Nick Cave, Peter Murphy, Mark Lanegan and early Bowie. K-essence debut, “Prince of Pawns”, was released by Requiem Records and the project was crowdfunded on Megatotal.pl. K-essence is the first and so far the only representative of the Polish rubble rock scene. The band heads towards uncompromising rock standing astride melancholic-psychedelic indie and gloomy gothic. Sometimes their sound includes sparkling, slightly glamorous adult pop. Currently, the band collects funds for a video for the first single from the upcoming album. The clip’s premiere will take place on October 22 at Soundedit Festival 2015 in Łódź.

K-essence: Dangerous Man

It’s 9pm. You shave, put on your favourite perfume and your best jacket. You walk into a dingy hotel and get out in the morning with a five-o’clock shadow on you face. Something blue, brutal and royal happens in between. But we don’t speak of it for fear of it not happening again. For we prefer the night.

K-essence: Dangerous Man (Official Video)

K-essence: Dangerous Man Lyrics:
A murder of crows surround him
He smells like human flesh
He never rides the horse
He beat him to death long ago
You better look away when you cross his path
He ain’t down here to make friends

He’s a dangerous man
Don’t like to be bothered
He’s a dangerous Man
Don’t like to be looked at
He’s a dangerous man
Don’t like to be bothered, no no no

There was once a barkeep
That spilled whiskey on the floor
The man, he didn’t say anything
And the barkeep
Says nothing no more
Just before he realized
That he had gone too far

He’s a dangerous man
Don’t like to be bothered
He’s a dangerous Man
Don’t like to be looked at
He’s a dangerous man
Don’t like to be bothered, no no no
There was once a girl
That fell for his hat
Her daddy was an evil man
He did not approve of that
The man made a lampshade of his head
And some candles of his fat
Just before he realized
That he had gone too far

The girl is in distress
She had no place to go
The man real good care of her
She’s the most expensive whore
Just before that bitch realized
That she had gone too far
