EZA is 22-year old Ellery Bonham, an exceptional vocalist and musician who writes her music primarily using vocal loops and synthesizers. The colors and patterns she’s able to see while writing have translated into her moody, vibrant and magnetic sound. Following the debut of her first EP in 2014, Means of Escape, her latest single, “Headlights” was featured on the 2015 Nashville Indie Spotlight.
At the age of twelve, EZA began studying the classics, from Italian operas to early-age Jazz pieces. Over the years, she’s used that foundation along with influences in electronic, pop and dubstep to craft her own sound. With nearly a decade of training, she has spent the past four years intertwining her style even more specifically with low-end, dark beats and chill, riding grooves to create a full and unique ambient experience. EZA is a stand out in a new wave of alternative/electronic pop music that has been slowly emerging from highly creative centers like Los Angeles, New York and New Zealand. In collaboration with local musicians and producers, EZA is excited to enter into this growing genre from her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.
EZA: We Keep The Lights Out
EZA: We Keep The Lights Out Lyrics:
If we’re honest
Couldn’t take it slow if we wanted
Well my blood’s in yours
And you got me
Down to the core, baby
You got me
Reachin’ out for ya
In the back (yeah)
We’re in the back
You are the liquor, the beat
We keep the lights out
Ain’t nothing but you and me
You’re taking over my lead
We keep the lights out
We keep the lights out
If we’re honest
We’re trippin’ on love
Like it’s a drug, baby
Can’t stop it
So let’s keep it close
Steady, you wander my skin
Take every inch, baby
You got me, you got me
You are the liquor, the beat
We keep the lights out
Ain’t nothing but you and me
You’re taking over my lead
We keep the lights out
We keep the lights out
In the back (yeah)
We’re in the back
You are the liquor, the beat
We keep the lights out
Ain’t nothing but you and me
You’re taking over my lead
We keep the lights out, We keep the lights out.
