Exile – Kiss you all over

Kiss You All Over” was a number one single in the United States during 1978 by the group Exile. It was written by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn. It was included on the band’s album Mixed Emotions, and it featured Jimmy Stokley and guitarist JP Pennington on lead vocals. This song proved to be Exile’s only big hit in the pop rock market; Stokley left the band in 1979, and the remaining members took a decidedly more country direction with the dawning of the 1980s. They proved enormously popular around the world. Following the chart-topping performance of “Kiss You All Over”, in 1979 “You Thrill Me” reached #40 (UK no. 67) and “How Could This Go Wrong” #88 on the charts. “Take Me Down” peaked at #3 on the Euro Hit 40 in the mid-80’s. The song was featured in the films, Happy Gilmore, Man on the Moon and Employee of the Month. It was also used in 2007 on CBC’s Hockey Night In Canada during a montage of Stanley Cup celebrations at the conclusion of the final game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Exile – I Wanna Kiss You All Over (1978):

Exile – Kiss you all over Lyrics:
When I get home, babe.
Gonna light your fire.
All day, I’ve been thinkin’ about you, babe.
You’re my one desire.

Gonna wrap my arms around you.
Hold you close to me.
Oh, babe, I wanna taste your lips.
I wanna be your fantasy, yeah.

Don’t know what I’d do without you, babe.
Don’t know where I’d be.
You’re not just another lover.
No, you’re everything to me.

Every time I’m with you, babe.
I can’t believe it’s true.
When you’re layin’ in my arms.
And you do the things you do.

You can see it in my eyes.
I can feel it in your touch.
You don’t have to say a thing.
Just let me show how much.

Love you, need you, yeah.

I wanna kiss you all over.
And over again.
I wanna kiss you all over.
Till the night closes in.
Till the night closes in.

Stay with me, lay with me.
Holding me, loving me, baby.
Here with me, near with me.
Feeling you close to me, baby.

So show me, show me everything you do.
‘Cause baby, no one does it quite like you.
Love you, need you, oh, babe.

I wanna kiss you all over.
And over again.
I wanna kiss you all over.
Till the night closes in.
Till the night closes in.

Till the night closes in.
Till the night closes in.
Till the night closes in.
Till the night closes in….
