Elizabeth Rose: Shoulda Coulda Woulda

Elizabeth Rose has shared her new single “Shoulda Coulda Woulda” taken from her forthcoming debut album ‘Intra’, which will be released on March 4 via Midnight Feature/Inertia. “Shoulda Coulda Woulda” is written and produced in collaboration with M-Phazes showcasing the sonic pop direction which defines ‘Intra’. Lyrically, the single portrays the singer’s journey from reflection to motivation. It follows Chrome Sparks’ collaboration “Another Earth” earlier this year, and marriage equality anthem “Division” both included on the album.

Elizabeth Rose: Shoulda Coulda Woulda

Elizabeth Rose is an Australian artist with conviction. Proving that earnest ethics and multi-faceted talent have a home in her fiercely independent brand of future pop, Elizabeth Rose is flourishing as a distinct female voice.

Having won countless awards and seeing her self-titled EP shoot to #1 on iTunes Electronic Charts in Australia, the eclectic and RNB-leaning electronic artist (whose live shows incorporate dancing, vivid costumes and joyful audio visuals) has already won hearts on radio stations and stages in Europe, the US and at home. With “Shoulda Coulda Woulda” dropping in time for the summer, expect temperatures to rise and repeat buttons to melt. Early 2015, she released single Another Earth, coproduced with Brooklyn’s Chrome Sparks and accompanied by a remix from Future Classic label mates HWLS (Ta-Ku and Kit Pop).

Most recently,
Rose made her deep concern with Australian laws preventing marriage equality known with new single Division. Co-produced with Dennis Dowlut (Electric Empire), the singles delicate instrumentals, largely powered through cascading piano allow plenty of room for Rose’s stunning vocals to shine through, putting the message of “Division” front and centre – where a message of this urgency should be. “Ireland recently became the nineteenth country to allow same sex marriage, they join the Netherlands, Argentina, Brazil, Sweden, Norway, France, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Spain and the U.K. We are moving towards this significant moment in Australian history and I urge people to accept and embrace this need for equality in our country.” – Elizabeth Rose

Elizabeth Rose: Shoulda Coulda Woulda Lyrics:
You cannot carry on like this
Overthinking to yourself
Like running through a maze, all in a day
Why focus on the little things?
It’s the big ones that will help
Second guessing like this is a quiz
Quit playing on your mind
The ones you left behind
Oh, what did I say?
Truth complicates a girl like you
But it gets you who you’re youth
So what’s what you say, hey!

Shoulda, coulda, woulda
But you didn’t, now it’s time to turn it around
Every moment don’t reprise the present
Don’t you bring it down
I still also need it
Under pressure now
You can take it higher
Lift it off the ground

You cannot carry on like this
Don’t be shattering what you know, oh, oh
Know when to stop, turn the switch off
Let me tell you what you can do
Loving what you grow
Doesn’t hurt you to grow
You’re making magic here, with no presence of your fear
Hear it, watch your, harder, you
Take what you can from your days
Even know you might see it through
Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Shoulda, coulda, woulda
But you didn’t, now it’s time to turn it around
Every moment don’t reprise the present
Don’t you bring it down
I still also need it
Under pressure now
You can take it higher
Lift it off the ground

Yeah, I’m coming up
I’m coming up boy and now
I’m feeling it, I’m feeling more than ever
Shoulda, coulda, woulda

Shoulda, coulda, woulda
But you didn’t, now it’s time to turn it around
Every moment don’t reprise the present
Don’t you bring it down
I still also need it
Under pressure now
You can take it higher
Lift it off the ground
Shoulda, coulda, woulda
But you didn’t, now it’s time to turn it around
Ever notices it’s the ones who hurry
They don’t make it down
Don’t complicate it, don’t say never
I’m feeling it, I’m feeling more than ever
