Daye Jack – Easy

Daye Jack – Easy. When Daye Jack dropped “Trapped in Love,” I compared him to a Kendrick Lamar and Aloe Blacc. That was wrong of me. No matter the caliber of the two, Daye Jack is too much driving down his own lane to be compared to other artists and he proves that on “Easy.” “Easy” has a wavy, acapella voice-led backdrop that allows Daye Jack to swiftly flow along singing melodically and providing some rough, slicing raps. He blends a cloudy atmosphere (production by Question) with a soulful, honest voice on this first single off of his upcoming project, Soul Glitch.

Daye Jack – Easy

Earlier this year, young Atlanta rapper Daye Jack released his latest project Hello World, which was made up of 14 tracks. At just 18 years old, Daye is already preparing his next mixtape Soul Glitch, using a new track titled “Easy” as a taste of what’s to come. The soulful production was put together by Question, making the ATLien’s job of picking out rhymes a whole lot easier.

Daye Jack – Easy Lyrics:
Easy, It’s easy, Is it easy?
Wakin’ up on a Monday mo’ning
Dressed up, the boss been callin’
Put the shoes and ties up on it
Now(?) the house and out I’m goin’
Wakin’ up on a Monday mo’ning
Dressed up, the boss been callin’
Put the shoes and ties up on it
Now(?) the house and out I’m goin’
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
(Verse)
It’s not that simple, wind scope, tryna be free
Tryna braintain, maintain, to conquer a feast
But the end of f**ked up, fallin’ on feet
So the anthem, askin’ how to be me
How’d I get up, no doubt, started to be
A new champion, papa, prod-da-digy
The old gangsta look into cappin’, fo’ real
I don’t got the talent, makin’ me free
I wanna stay high, on this rocket I lease
No box niggas box me, Rocky Ali
Will I die a legend, maybe die a park in ?
Be on top of toppin’ niggas that are strikin’ my street
(Hook)
Is it easy? (It ain’t that easy, tho, it ain’t that easy, tho)
Why (It ain’t that easy, tho, it ain’t that easy, tho)
Wakin’ up on a Monday mo’ning
Dressed up, the boss been callin’
Put the shoes and ties up on it
Now(?) the house and out I’m goin’
Wakin’ up on a Monday mo’ning
Dressed up, the boss been callin’
Put the shoes and ties up on it
Now(?) the house and out I’m goin’
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
(Verse 2)
It seems like the good regions never come peaceful
Head up on the golf but the keeper on left, shoo(?)
Hung up on the pro, I pose the pinches that paps took
And he seein’ soul cuz the cynics upset you
Ah, doom nigga, I flew through it to get it
How the plan when I put you the T was presented
Spaced out into my space, paced the planet
Hey y’all, abracazam, eyes are planted
(Hook)
Wakin’ up on a Monday mo’ning
Dressed up, the boss been callin’
Put the shoes and ties up on it
Now(?) the house and out I’m goin’
Wakin’ up on a Monday mo’ning
Dressed up, the boss been callin’
Put the shoes and ties up on it
Now(?) the house and out I’m goin’
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
Is it easy? (Walkin’ out on the 9 to 5)
Is it easy? (When it’s time to grind)
