Como: Suitcase

Como – Recording my first album feels like publishing my diary. As a child I was often pushed to perform on stage. At the age of thirteen I was sick of singing songs which I didn’t like, and refused to perform in front of anyone. So, for the first time in my life I was playing only for myself, practicing the piano late at night, when everybody was fast asleep. Finally I gave up my diary and started to write songs, which offered me a more direct and multichannel way of expressing my feelings and recording important moments. My music has always been a well kept secret, which I refused to share with anybody, but after several years of isolated song writing, the continuing lack of feedback made me feel uneasy and I decided to play some of my songs to some guys in the music business. My coming-out was a real dare, but the positive response made me put one foot in front of the other. I never thought that one day I’d be a singer song-writer.

Como: Suitcase (official video)

Como: Suitcase Lyrics:
My life is a suitcase, I’ve seen the world, I’ve travelled many miles.
There’s something I run from, I don’t know what, I don’t know why, but still
I feel it behind me, it’s dark and swallows everything I love.
I dare not to look back, I keep on moving just in case it’s real.
Is it life that makes us bleed,
is it luck or misery?
Is it love that makes us seek,
is it chance or destiny?
Is it all that we’ve done wrong,
or a wrathful god above?
Is it burden of the past,
that this pain will always last.
My life is a suitcase, I’ve seen the world, I’ve travelled thousand miles.
The world is my witness, I come and go, I never stay for long.
My name is a pseudonym, I rarely talk, I never get involved,
the girl in the mirror, she’s strangeto me, I don’t know who I am.
