Anna and The Static – Move Your Body

Anna and The Static – Move Your Body. Anna and The Static’s first single, “Move Your Body”, is only a taste of the five-person band that encompasses an array of electro-soul to classic R&B/Pop. With their debut EP, “In Light”, set to release this October, the L.A. based group fronted by vocalist and songwriter, Anna Elizabeth, creates a refreshing yet classic sound backed by imagery fueled lyricism and sonic balance of musical arrangement. The five-track compilation includes the work of audio engineer, Bill Jackson (Dianna Ross, Prince, Stevie Nicks, Elvis Costello, Los Lobos, Peter Gabriel, Oingo Boingol) who reveals the band to be, “A rare collection of great musicians. Anna has a clear vision of how to create and perform their music.” And recalls his first encounter with the infectious single Move Your Body: “I first saw Anna and the Static at a concert. They had such a big sound and incredible vocals. They ended the show with ‘Move Your Body.’ Everyone was on their feet. It was such a powerful moment.”

Anna and The Static – Move Your Body

Anna and The Static – Move Your Body Lyrics:
VERSE 1:
When the world looks low, baby don’t you go
Talkin’ yourself down, better get up now
It ain’t bad at all, just breathe and stand up tall

But when we loose it all, yeah settle just to fall
Trying to find that light, to bring us out withdrawal
Don’t let that shadows haunt, just keep on moving on

When did the air get thin? When did I let spite in?
Somersault tongues searching for words within
Hey, hey, hey

PRE-CHORUS:
I know you’re feeling lost, or that you’re at a loss
To continue the everyday cycle you’re in, oh baby look within
Cause in time you’ll find, the little things in life are what keep ya right
Oh oh oh

CHORUS:
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way

VERSE 2:
Alleviate the stress, ain’t movin’ to impress
Only thing hitting us now is the sound of the music so loud

Do you got food, you got a place to stay? You got love, you got sunshine, no rain?
If you woke up this morning then hey, you got it good so what’s there to say

Is she cold is he running away? Does that green flow control everyday?
Are you feeling’ that there is no way? Just get up take it day by day

I ain’t saying’ it’s easy for me, I have my days oh honey believe
Pity comes so easily, but the best things don’t work that out way usually

PRE-CHORUS:
I know you’re feeling lost, or that you’re at a loss
To continue the everyday cycle you’re in, oh baby look within
Cause in time you’ll find, the little things in life are what keep ya right
Oh oh oh

CHORUS:
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every body
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way
Move your body, everybody, move your body, every way
