Born and raised in San Diego, California, this R&B recording artist is ascending on the POP scene, giving the music industry a fresh new sound she likes to describe as “Hip-POP”. With the release of her first Mix tape in late 2011, concurrent with a number of tours, opening up for major artists, such as Jeremih, Taio Cruz, and Bow-Wow, Abrina is undoubtedly finding her way. Most of Abrina’s mix tape was produced by super producers Midi Mafia, whom is also credited with producing some of Abrina’s new heat in 2012. The talented Abrina is also featured on Midi’s new EP “Get Connected,” hosted by MTV. There’s a good chance you have heard Midi Mafia’s production before from major artist like Justin Bieber, 50 cent, Jennifer Lopez, and many more! Bruce WAynne, one-half of Midi Mafia, was quoted in a recent interview discussing what the future holds for the music industry, stating “up next is Abrina, the world needs to see this beautiful face!” However, Abrina is not just a beautiful face, she has real singing and songwriting talent.
In 2011 Abrina was featured on MTV3′s show THE 411 and made a major debut in LATeen MAgazine. Finding other ways of releasing music, Abrina has a song on the soundtrack to the hit movie “Should have put a ring on it” starring Robin Givens and Bobby Valentino. Abrina is currently working on a new EP and just released her single titled “Dat Good” feat. Compton rapper Problem, who has been making a lot of noise lately with his E-40 “Function” feature and hit single “Like What.” With many inspirations such as Stevie Wonder, Teena Marie and Beyonce, Abrina is well on her way to follow their steps.
